Hama no Utase
"Hama no Utase" is a direct seafood market operated by the Arida Minoshima Fisheries Cooperative, consisting of a retail building and a dining area (Utase Dining Hall), attracting many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture. In the dining area, you can enjoy fresh and exquisite seafood delicacies at reasonable prices, and during peak times, your desired menu items may sell out early. In the retail building, a variety of fish that changes with the seasons and weather is available, and fishing information can be checked on the "Hama no Utase" website.
Arida Mikan Kaidou
t"Arida Mikan Kaidou" is a scenic driving route that runs through the mandarin orange mountains from Minoshima Fishing Port in Arida City, Wakayama Prefecture, to the mountainous area of the city. This picturesque route with a 150-meter elevation difference is popular for motorcycle and bicycle touring. In early May, the mandarin orange blossoms are in full bloom, offering a delightful fragrance and charming flowers. Additionally, in November, the mandarin oranges ripen, painting the mountains with vibrant colors. There are also fantastic cafes, restaurants, and campsites that take advantage of the stunning scenery, making it a highly recommended spot for sightseeing.
Ayu Chaya
The Aridagawa Onsen, located just a 5-minute drive from JR Kii-Miyahara Station at the annex building of "The Aridagawa Onsen Ayu Chaya Hotel Sunshine", is known for having spring quality of its smooth texture that clings to the skin and its ability to keep you warm after bathing. Established since its founding, you can enjoy specialty fish dishes such as sweetfish from Kishu Arida, Swordfish, and local sea high class fish named "Kue". You can choose from Western-style and Japanese-style rooms, and enjoy a pleasant time while gazing at the magnificent mountains and the tranquil flow of the Aridagawa River in front of the hotel.
Itoga Inari-jinja Shrine
"Honcho-saisho Inari Shrine" is the oldest Inari shrine in Japan, with its name displayed on the front torii gate. Inside the shrine grounds, there are estimated to be 500 to 600-year-old camphor trees. There used to be four trees, but now only three remain, with one in the northwest having withered. These three camphor trees are a rare presence and have been designated as natural monuments of Arida City. Walking the "Kumano Kodo" from the shrine and climbing the "Itoga Touge" will lead you to the "Inabane Shrine," where it is said that the Inari god descended. From February to March, you can enjoy the scenery of lined torii gates and Kawazu cherry blossoms.
Eel restaurant "Kawasui"
Eel restaurant "Kawasui" was established in 1964 and began specializing in grilled eel (unagi) in 1975. Since 2010, it has been awarded the Rakuten Gourmet Award in the eel category every year. The domestically sourced eel prepared in the restaurant has a crispy and fragrant exterior with a fluffy and flavorful interior, allowing guests to enjoy the delicious "unaju" (eel over rice). Additionally, they offer factory tours where visitors can observe the cooking process and taste freshly made unaju.

"TestiMone" is located near the summit of the Arida Mikan Kaidou, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the beautiful sea, mountains, and cityscape of Arida City.
